NOTE FROM THE ADMIN:  I started work on this website about a year ago.  I finally got it up and published in March, 2025, along with a Facebook group, Instagram account, X and most recently a podcast.  Unfortunately the podcast was unsuccessful---I maintained a few downloads week after week, but no uptick and that was a sign to shut it down.  It's a time consuming process and honestly not turning out as I had hoped.  I'm grateful to the few who gave me feedback and downloaded regularly.  I'm also rather proud that I learned a new skill (who says old dogs can't!?).  

Both X and Instagram were stagnating.  I really tried, but not being a photo or video editor, I feel that my content was lacking.  

As of today, the podcast, X and Instagram have all been deleted.  

This Website:  Hate to use the word again, but I feel like the site is stagnating as well.  I have missing details in David's filmography, upcoming projects and theatre background and despite a lot (and I mean A LOT!) of research I'm coming up with nothing.  As a result, I have reached out to David on his social media channels--both thru public replies to his posts and thru direct messenger, but nothing is forthcoming.  I've reached out to his management, again nothing.   Not gonna lie, it would have been fun to get some 'official' input to the site, but I 100% understand that in this day and age fansites are a bit redundant.  David has a wonderful official website and does use social media on occasion, keeping us in the loop.

I'll be letting the domain lapse next year.  The site will remain up for a few more months and if there is any news to share, I'll certainly do that.  I just wanted to give any die hard fans a chance to download any photos, links, etc  here so that they have them after the site is gone.  I've always looked at this site as a bit of an archive and hope you have too.

Happy 6 month anniversary to us !  However, this website is now officially in vacation mode!  My husband and I are travelling to England (Newcastle, London, Canterbury) and France (Bordeaux) for a few weeks.  I may update the Facebook page with some Vera location shots (we're taking an actual VERA tour!) , but that might be it until October.  See you soon and thanks for visiting the site :)

New (to me!) photos from 2014 Stars of Tomorrow event.   

A select group of the 2014 stars, and several alumni from past years (including David Leon), were celebrated at an invitation-only international industry dinner at Kettners.

It marked the first time that Screen’s Stars of Tomorrow had been presented at LFF. The event was supported by British Council and Casting Society of America (CSA), and held in association with We Are UK Film.

And voiceover work from 2019 discovered!  Then and Now:  London Transport (Channel 5)

At long last!  I've found this film.  

It's your chance!  vote now in the National Television Awards.  "Vera" is nominated for best returning drama and Brenda Blethyn is nominated for best performance.  Winners announced September 10th.
